Rain

No we didn't have a Tsunami again just a lot of rain.

Parts of Malé are flooded again due to a lang day and night of rain not the tropical rain we sometimes excperience but a steady rain over a long period of time.
These are new to us, before the Maldives had more of the tropical rains short but powerfull. Now we see more of longer days of constant rain.

The old captains and fishermen whom could predict the weather very accurate are all shaking there head the weather is strange they say. Not as it was before. Currents are different, water temperature is different....

The story goes that after the earth quake the seasons changed. the rotation is faster and the earth is more round. Well to seintific for me but maybe that explains te change in weather.


On an other note .
My dive school is participating in the World Guinise Book of records Dive.

The Maldives Tourism Promotion Board came up with the idea to host a World record Dive and tries to get 1000 divers in the water at the same time. It is planned in the last week of February 2006. Sea explorers Dive School is asked to participate as well with as many other dive schools from the resort that wont to participate

It is a big orgenization but I am sure this can be pulled off

If you wont to participate in this event and youare in the Maldives during that period contact the dive center on your resort you are staying and be one of use participating in this event.
