The Under Dog

I feel like one.
In my daily life, I feel many times the Under Dog, special regarding dealing with Governmental and Financial institutions.

As I am a working Scuba instructor in the Maldives I fall under the Expat community and this has some advantages but many more disadvantages.
Recently I have a huge frustration with the local bank BML.  Or should I see the way the "laws" are interpreted....

The local law states that every expat worker must have a local bank account with the BML to have their salaries deposited. Now I have no problem with this but all the other "RULES" are very frustrating as well as, in my eyes discriminating. To keep this account the bank takes every month USD 5 just to have the account, Locals do not have that charge.
I get charged for every single transaction an extra fee. More than 5 transactions only account and the interest is not been paid out for that month.

Today I got an email from the bank to justify an amount of money that is sent to my account.
I made a transfer from my account to my account and now I have to "justify" where it came from and how I got it.
When I did a reply mail, it toke about 2 seconds to get the message that the mail; was not delivered as the settings of the receiver does not accept mails from outside their domain....

Please, people, you are holding the money of the public you should be accessible for everybody, to hold our money as ransom is disgusting. Keeping it for days on end brings us common people in difficulty, we need to make payments on time. It is your kind of institutions that keeps us, prisoner. We are a day late and we get fined. You take for every transaction a part of our money, you make money with our money and then we still have to pay for being able to spend our hard-earned money.
You loan us our own money against a 13% interest rate and then the "savings account" gets 1.5% interest, but if you do more than 5 transactions a month you don't get intrest for that month...

No wonder all the "Directors" are getting big fat salaries, Golden handshakes, etc.  They are the head thief and are taking a big share of the Loot.

I am now looking into different cryptocurrencies to see if there are some that are suitable to use for payments and transfers worldwide and are less costly.

I found a few.
Keep you posted.
